WHAT WE DO
What exactly does a postpartum doula do?
Your trained and certified doula teaches and assists with postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics and care, development, breastfeeding and parent-infant bonding. An empathic, compassionate non-judgmental approach.
Because we are providing great practical care tips helping parents trust their own instincts meeting their baby’s needs:
- Bathing, diapering, and umbilical cord care,
- Soothing and Swaddling Techniques
- Assistance in understanding and reading your baby’s cues for feeding and sleeping
- Baby Wearing
Your doula is a seasoned professional and is experienced in supporting families through the postpartum period and providing education sensitive, non-judgmental support and companionship. Doulas not only aid by assisting with newborn care, they can also provide assistance with meal preparation, and light household tasks.
Postpartum doulas offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents making referrals when necessary.

The postpartum doula differs greatly from baby nurses who are there solely to tend to the baby’s needs. Your doula is there for the family. The doula is reassuring, and encouraging by mentoring families on how to care for their own newborn, and promoting parent-infant bonding.

DAYTIME DOULA OUR MOST POPULAR PACKAGES
Our minimum booking 15 hours scheduled over 2 weeks $750. Helping you have a great start to breastfeeding, the transition to parenting, settling in and learning about how to care for your baby, and helping around the house.
25 hours of care over 3 weeks $1,250. A little more time with your doula helping you to have a great start to breastfeeding, the transition to parenting, settling in and learning about how to care for your baby, and helping around the house. A popular package used for first night home overnight and 15 hours daytime care.
40 hours over the course of 4 weeks. $2000. Gives you enough time to feel settled in and cared for over the first month or so. Feel supported during the transition to being alone every day when your partner and family returns to work. There is even enough time built in for you to do a couple of overnights, take naps, let the doula watch the baby for a few hours. A popular package for 3 overnights and daytime.
Bespoke packages tailored to your individual needs for up to 6 months of care.
From the birth to first days, or months home, multiple overnights and daytime care until you are getting out and about with baby and learning to plan your days or preparing to return to work.

Get started by completing a pre-birth registration questionnaire to match your family with your doula. contact and you will be sent an obligation free questionnaire.
An interview is arranged between the family and doula to ensure compatibility. An obligation free meeting with your doula before the birth at your home allows you to become acquainted with each other. The doulas time is then reserved with a deposit following this meeting.
Once you reserve your doula with a deposit, she is on-call for you; the same doula will be there to help and support you after the birth.
