Your postpartum doula is there to help you develop and settle into your new routine.
Your doula is there to nurture and teach, easing the transition to parenthood as you learn to breastfeed, assuring you have a good start, helping care for your newborn as we care for you with practical support.
WHAT WE DO
What exactly does a postpartum doula do?
Your trained and certified doula teaches and assists with postpartum adjustment, newborn characteristics and care, development, breastfeeding, and parent-infant bonding. An empathic, compassionate non-judgmental approach.
Because we are providing great practical care tips helping parents trust their own instincts meeting their baby’s needs:
- Bathing, diapering, and umbilical cord care
- Soothing and Swaddling Techniques
- Assistance in understanding and reading your baby’s cues for feeding and sleeping
- Baby Wearing
Your doula is a seasoned professional and is experienced in supporting families through the postpartum period and providing education sensitive, non-judgmental support and companionship. Doulas not only aid by assisting with newborn care, they can also provide assistance with meal preparation, and light household tasks.
Postpartum doulas offer evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from childbirth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents making referrals when necessary.
Ruth ensures Doula Care Postpartum services are individually tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. The tasks and focus of care provided by the doula each day depend on the priorities requested or needed by your family.

The postpartum doula differs greatly from baby nurses who are there solely to tend to the baby’s needs. Your doula is there for the family. The doula is reassuring, and encouraging by mentoring families on how to care for their own newborn, and promoting parent-infant bonding.
FEES
DAYTIME DOULA
$65.00 per hour for in-person visit with a top tier postpartum doula with 10 plus years’ experience, certified as a postpartum doula and a certified lactation counselor.
Three-Four hours per visit during the daytime shift. Yes, extended hours for daily visits are available.
12-hour minimum booking $780.00 used within two weeks (3-4 visits).

Packages are tailored to your individual needs for up to 6 months of care.
Examples of Daytime Packages:
24-hour package $1,560.00 used within four weeks (4-6 visits).
48-hour package $3,120.00 used within six weeks (12-16 visits).
60-hour package $3,900.00 used within two months (15-20 visits)
We create packages for any amount of pre-booked hours needed.
Add to your daytime package “The First Night Home Overnight,” the same person is your daytime doula.
(10-hour minimum for overnight shift).
OVERNIGHT DOULA
Create a package for a doula nightly (10-hour minimum for overnight shift).
Bespoke packages are tailored to your individual needs for up to 6 months of care.

Once you reserve your doula with a deposit, she is on-call for you; the same doula will be there to help and support you after the birth.
